Reset Button: It is used to add a Reset button to the connection. Programming USB port: The programming port is connected to the high-performance 8-bit Microcontroller (ATMEL 16U2), which also acts as a USB to serial converter. It uses the serial USB object to support the CDC (Communication Device Class) serial communication. Native USB port: The Native port is directly connected to the SAM3X MCU. Serial Ports: The Native USB port and the programming USB port are the two ports on the Arduino Due board. Here, IDE stands for Integrated Development Environment. The Arduino Due is also organized using the Arduino (IDE), which can run on various platforms. The Microcontroller present on the board is the Atmel SAM3X8E ARM Cortex-M3 CPU. It consists of 54 Digital Input/Output pins and 12 Analog pins. It has two ports, which are named as Native USB port and Programming port. It is the first Arduino board that is developed based on the ARM Microcontroller. This is not recommended because you bypass the LD1117S50CTR 5V voltage regulator and have to make sure that the voltage level is stable. The Arduino Due is based on the 32- bit ARM core. You can also power power the Arduino microcontroller from the 5V pin. You cannot power the board with the barrel jack and VIN GPIO at the same time, because there is a polarity protection diode, connecting between the positive of the barrel jack to the VIN pin, rated at 1A. Therefore you are able to power the Uno with an external 9 Volt battery. The voltage has to be between 7V and 12V. ![]()
